Imagined Spaces
An exploration of Chinese American diaspora through interior spaces that are like home, but not quite right. As time and distance passes by, we forget what spaces look like in memory, especially from childhood. China in particular develops quickly so everything is different when you return.
I intend to evoke this feeling of a child's memory by constructing surreal dream-like spaces. Resolution and half-tone/ mosaic filters are tools used to create a difference in texture; sometimes I can remember how furniture around me felt, but not how it looked.
